These things don't happen in a vacuum so I just wanted to express my appreciation for everyone that took the time out of their weekend to show up, contribute and use their stories to the benefit of others. I also know every one of those in attendance are going to push out to their sphere of medical professionals to continue to keep the pressure up until we get complete acceptance that myocardial bridges are symptomatic. For that, I'm grateful from the bottom of my imperfect heart. We'll be posting recordings of additional sessions during the event over the course of the next few weeks. I hope you enjoy them all and find them both useful and helpful. If you find these were helpful, share it in a comment or send me an email. We want to do as much as possible to support those of you in need. Stay positive, in rhythm and let the beats go on!
Hey there, Royalty of the Coronary Kingdom. I wanted to alert you to something we're doing at Imperfect Heart in the event you've not seen the posting on the Facebook group page. We're having a first ever myocardio bridge meetup. That's right, we're going to get together to actually talk and meet and share stories. The date's September 14th, 2024, this year, and it's taking place in Sacramento, California. You can find all the details in the show notes of this episode. This is going to be an opportunity to meet others with our condition and meet them in person. If you're in the process of finding a solution to your issues, or if you've already had the unroofing surgery, if you can make it, I promise you won't be disappointed. We all need to share our stories. And after talking with so many of you on the podcast, I know everything doesn't get shared in the recording. Time also changes things, and we don't get to constantly update everyone on progress or setbacks. This is your chance to talk with others who have been in a similar situation. They've either gone through or are going through the same things you are. You can ask the candid questions, share the issues you may be dealing with pre-or post-surgery, and make connections that could last a lifetime. You may also meet some of the people you're communicating with on the Facebook pages. I'm working on seeing if we can get some virtual discussions with the doctors that I've interviewed as well. You'll also find in the link the calendar for the day as well as frequently asked questions. I know a lot of you won't be able to make it, but I also know many of you live within driving distance. The location's very conveniently located at the confluence of freeways in downtown Sacramento. And there's also plenty of accommodations in the area. Again, I'm inviting you to the first ever Myocardial Bridge meetup in person September 14th this year. We do have limited attendance, so if you're interested, please register at your earliest opportunity. I think this is going to be the first of so much more to come that we're going to do to support each other and change the way our medical community views this condition. If you have any questions, please go to the website, myimperfectheart.com, click on the contact tab, and you'll be in touch with me via email. I'll respond as quickly as I can.
